Exterior Design
Much has been made of the new Ford Escape and it's slick new styling, and for good reason. This new Ford SUV is one of the few vehicles on the road today sporting a bright, happy face, making it a welcome change from the increasingly aggressive looks of most modern models. The sweeping LED light strip adds a touch of character to the face, especially at night, while the black honeycomb grille is a stylish touch as well.
Overall, the body is made up of soft curves and very few angles, save for the cutouts for the tail lights and rear quarter window. This gives the Escape a more relaxed vibe overall, and one that will surely stand the test of time as the years wear on.
Interior Design
Inside, the new Ford Escape
offers impressive good looks that blend modern sensibilities with
organic touches that give the whole space a natural, intuitive feel. The
infotainment display sits high on the dash so it is easy to view
without truly taking your eyes off the road. The radio controls sit
immediately below, while the vents and climate controls are lower down
on the center stack.
You'll have plenty of choice over
materials and colors inside your new Ford Escape as well. The wood
grain trim is a great way to add a sense of warmth to the cabin, but
brushed metal and carbon fiber looks are available as well. You'll also
get premium leather options in a variety of colors to help express your
personal style.
Performance
There is a trio of engine choices available as you search for your perfect new Ford Escape near White House, TN. The 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine is a peppy, three-cylinder unit that gives you 181 horsepower and 190 pound feet of torque along with up to 33 mpg on the highway. You can opt for the 2.0-liter EcoBoost and have 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque at your disposal, and with all-wheel drive you'll still have up to 31 mpg on the highway.
Finally, there is the 2.5-liter Atkinson hybrid powertrain that offers up a total of 200 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. It's available with either front or all-wheel drive, and fuel economy figures range into the mid-40s, even in the city.
Technology
There is plenty of tech to be found inside the new Ford Escape, starting with the SYNC® 3 infotainment system. You'll enjoy an easy-to-use interface that puts everything just one or two touches away, while including features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to make your connectivity experience even easier.
You'll also find built-in satellite navigation that updates you with live traffic conditions so you can avoid backups and traffic jams. This means always finding the fastest route to your destination, even if conditions are changing as you travel.
Safety
There is no shortage of safety to be had with the new Ford Escape either. Forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are all a part of the equation with the Ford Co-Pilot360â„¢ suite of driver assistance features.
