For 2024, the Ford F-150 Lightning receives several exciting updates. Newly available BlueCruise hands-free highway driving assist makes long road trips easier. Upgraded SYNC 4 infotainment with a 15-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen improves connectivity and entertainment. The Lightning also gains standard Ford Co-Pilot360 driver assist technologies like Pre-Collision Assist and Evasive Steering Assist to help avoid collisions.
Performance
Every 2024 F-150 Lightning is equipped with two electric motors that produce a combined 580 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque on Platinum and Lariat trims. The standard range battery on XLT models generates 462 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. This instant off-the-line torque rivals many sports cars, while the standard four-wheel drive provides sure-footed traction on any terrain.
With the extended range 131-kilowatt-hour battery, the F-150 Lightning offers up to 320 miles of range on a full charge. The standard range battery with 98 kilowatt-hour capacity provides up to 240 miles of range. Recharging the battery from 15 percent to 100 percent takes just over two hours at a public DC fast charging station thanks to the 11.5-kilowatt onboard charger.
Interior and Technology
The Lightning's interior combines smart technology with exceptional comfort and space. The SuperCrew cab offers generous 43.9 inches of front leg room and rear seats with folding 60-40 split-bench cushion. Upper trims add leather seats, an available power moonroof, and BlueCruise hands-free driving assist for long highway trips.
